8 months
Mr. Oliver is now 8 months! He is crawling all over the place and this weekend started using mom, dad, and his toys as ladders-he can now stand up! He will probably be walking in the next month or two. Time sure goes fast. He is making lots of fun sounds and is trying to communicate with mom and dad. He is looking forward to dressing up for Halloween and having his cousins in Lincoln.

Oliver Knox Half Birthday!
Oliver is celebrating his half birthday! Chad and I were commenting how this has been the fastest year of our lives. Oliver is now sitting up on his own, "scooting," laughing alot, and growing into his personality. We have been busy with weddings and family gatherings this summer. Love, Chad, Laura, Oliver

4 Months
It is amazing to believe Oliver is now 4 months old! He had his first gig as "honorary ring bearer" in Chad's brother's wedding. He was the center of attention and continues to be full of smiles! Oliver's latest accomplishments include trying to sit up, discovering his feet, holding his chest up and trying to rollover, and finding his voice. It is time to really kidproof our home. Oliver will be moving around very soon! Chad and I feel truly blessed and continue to stay very busy between Oliver and work.

Oliver is now 3 months old! He is growing quickly and his new milestones include lots of smiling, kicking, cooing, talking (in baby language), and he loves chewing on his hand. He spent the weekend with his cousins who met him for the first time and took good care of him. He loves being talked to and his cousins read all of his books to him. He is now 13 1/2 pounds and growing quickly. Happy Mothers Day to all you moms!

Two Months Old!
It is amazing Oliver is already 2 months old! He has been enjoying walks, smiling, kicking in his bouncer, and holding his head up. He also met Grandpa Walhaug for the first time this month. He is a happy, thriving little boy. He has begun to be a great sleeper as well which makes mom happy since she is back at work.

Hello everyone,
Friends told me the first week of being a new mom and dad would be nonstop, and this is certainly true! However, it is certainly the most rewarding and amazing gift we could have prayed for-Oliver is an amazing little guy. We are having so much fun amid the chaos and loving every minute. Enjoy a few new pictures and thank you for all of your support-we appreciate all of the help and thoughtfulness from friends and family.

Day One
Hello everyone,
We have some new pictures posted below from Oliver's first full day! It is amazing how busy the first day is and how time flies by so quickly. It is certainly a time where you run on adrenaline and nearly forget about sleep. Thanks to all of you for your continued congratulations and warm wishes.

Oliver Knox Thies
Hi friends,
We went to the hospital yesterday at 4:45a.m. and at 8:10p.m. Laura gave birth to our son Oliver Knox Thies. Oliver weighs 8lbs 9 oz and he's nearly 22 inches long. Both Mom and baby are doing very well. It's a little overwhelming for me at the moment. I sit and stare at Oliver and can only think what a miracle he is and what a blessing God gives us. I'm also thankful for Laura who never complained of anything throughout this entire process and remains strong and focused on being a great Mommy.
If you'd like to see Oliver you are welcome to stop by our home and we'll be home Saturday afternoon. Some of you have asked what you can bring and I'm always hungry so food is welcome.
Finally, we're thankful for all of you and look forward to having Oliver meet you.

Baby Thies Blog Spot
Hello everyone!
We have created a blog spot for baby Thies to make you aware of when he decides to make his debut and share his first pictures! He was due February 6th but is not quite ready to make his grand entrance. Mom and dad are patiently waiting. We will update this site as soon as he arrives.
