Hello everyone,
Friends told me the first week of being a new mom and dad would be nonstop, and this is certainly true! However, it is certainly the most rewarding and amazing gift we could have prayed for-Oliver is an amazing little guy. We are having so much fun amid the chaos and loving every minute. Enjoy a few new pictures and thank you for all of your support-we appreciate all of the help and thoughtfulness from friends and family.

Day One
Hello everyone,
We have some new pictures posted below from Oliver's first full day! It is amazing how busy the first day is and how time flies by so quickly. It is certainly a time where you run on adrenaline and nearly forget about sleep. Thanks to all of you for your continued congratulations and warm wishes.

Oliver Knox Thies
Hi friends,
We went to the hospital yesterday at 4:45a.m. and at 8:10p.m. Laura gave birth to our son Oliver Knox Thies. Oliver weighs 8lbs 9 oz and he's nearly 22 inches long. Both Mom and baby are doing very well. It's a little overwhelming for me at the moment. I sit and stare at Oliver and can only think what a miracle he is and what a blessing God gives us. I'm also thankful for Laura who never complained of anything throughout this entire process and remains strong and focused on being a great Mommy.
If you'd like to see Oliver you are welcome to stop by our home and we'll be home Saturday afternoon. Some of you have asked what you can bring and I'm always hungry so food is welcome.
Finally, we're thankful for all of you and look forward to having Oliver meet you.

Baby Thies Blog Spot
Hello everyone!
We have created a blog spot for baby Thies to make you aware of when he decides to make his debut and share his first pictures! He was due February 6th but is not quite ready to make his grand entrance. Mom and dad are patiently waiting. We will update this site as soon as he arrives.
